If you are preparing your trip, a RTW trip, or if you are in a foreign country, these are the essential applications for your smartphone. All free and easy to use.
1) FourSquare: It’s one of the most useful app for travellers abroad, that gives you tips and shows you all the venues – restaurants, pub – within your walking distance. It is available for Android or iPhone, and very easy to use.
2) TripAdvisor: This is my favourite. You can find reviews of hotels, restaurants, attractions and more. Sometimes comments are too rude and you need to double check if they are honest – not made by the owner of the restaurant or his friends.
3) Translate Free: Don’t remember a word? Do you need to translate a complicated phrase? This is one of the best free apps for translation. Use it with Google Translate app and you will have no more problem with languages!
4) Skyscanner: with this app you can compare cheap flights, hotels & car hire of more providers than anyone else. Wonderful.
5) Around Me: Similar to FourSquare, in my opinion is more useful and gives you more variety of places to explore. Around Me identifies your position and allows you to choose the nearest Bank, Bar, Gas Station, Hospital, Hotel, Movie Theatre, Restaurant, Supermarket and more.
6) Hostel World: if you want to save money and you cannot spend entire weeks in 4 stars hotel, sometimes you need to sleep in hostel. This app will show you the cheap world of hostels.
7) Google Translate: Use it in combo with another translation app and the foreign languages will not have more secrets for you! It’s Google, so it is almost perfect.

6 ) Hostel World: se si vuole risparmiare soldi e non si possono trascorrere intere settimane in hotel 4 stelle, a volte è necessario dormire in un ostello. Questa applicazione vi mostrerà questo mondo economico e conveniente.
7 ) Google Translate: Usatelo in combinazione con un’altra app di traduzione e le lingue straniere non avranno più segreti per voi! È Google, quindi stiamo parlando di un’app quasi perfetta.
8 ) XE Currency: Con questa applicazione si può facilmente convertire ogni valuta. Si tratta dalla più scaricata app di cambio del mondo. Per Android e iPhone .
9 ) Waze: Se si usa l’auto, con Waze, il traffico e la navigazione app, si può interagire con gli altri utenti e condividere traffico in tempo reale e le informazioni stradali. Se si pensa di guidare in altri paesi torna davvero utile.
